The Flying Dutchman World Championships are international sailing regattas in the Flying Dutchman class organized by the International Sailing Federation and the International Flying Dutchman Class Association.〔 http://www.sailifdco.com/about-us/〕 Most titles have András Domokos and Szabolcs Majthényi won, with eleven titles. The most championships has been won by Hungarian and Danish sailors, eleven-eleven editions, followed by sailors of West Germany (eight). Flying Dutchman was an Olympic class from 1960 to 1992. ==History== The first Flying Dutchman World Championships were held in Starnberger See in 1956.
